If you saw the last blog post, you know that we enjoyed some apple picking this fall. But that wasn't our only fall fun! Over the last two weekends, we had a chance to enjoy the falling leaves, paint and carve pumpkins, and celebrate Halloween. It has been very fun!
Most of the neighborhood kids came out to help us play in the giant pile of leaves that had started to collect in our yard. So, we grabbed a few rakes and went to town. Everybody had so much fun!!

After raking, we headed to the backyard for a pumpkin painting, carving, a fire, and s'mores. It was such a fun afternoon!

And, finally, we celebrated Halloween on a blustery October 31st. The day began with me visiting Julia's kindergarten classroom to help with games and fun. We served snacks, made pipe-cleaner spiders, and played a bean bag toss game. She started her Halloween celebration at 10:45 am, so she was pretty crazy and worn out by the time we picked her up from the YMCA aftercare program at 4:00 in the afternoon. I'm pretty sure she had been eating cookies and candy that entire time. Lovely.
It actually snowed enough this Halloween that the meteorologists in the area could measure the accumulation. WHAT?! It was pretty gross. None-the-less, we had a great time checking out a very small corner of our neighborhood with our friends, Joe, Amy, and Jack before we headed to Chipotle to watch all of the people come in costumes for $3.00 burritos. It was a fun day. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
