Our trip to NYC

This past weekend was a fun and busy one. Joe and I traveled to New York City with our friends Ayisha and Adam for a whirlwind tour of the Big Apple. Since Ayisha and Adam are expecting a baby in July, they wanted to see the city before then... so we tried to do it up right ;) Here's a picture of us on Friday at our favorite Baltimore dessert place, Vacarro's. After all of my blog posts about this amazing place, Ayisha was pretty pumped about trying it!

We drove up to the city on Saturday morning and wandered around Times Square and Rockefeller Center, before heading out to dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner. We had a fun time listening to the talented wait staff belt out some great songs. You can't get much better than a serenade by your waiter while you're waiting for your food! After that, we went to see "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," which was great. Who knew that a musical about a spelling bee would be so much fun?! Here are some shots of Joe and me at M&M World in Times Square, which is very oddly placed directly across the street from the giant Hershey store!

After all that, we were pretty tired out on Sunday when we headed down to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty and then walked over to the South Street Sea Port. As you can see from the picture, Ayisha and Adam decided to take advantage of the Sharper Image store we stopped in ;) Since Ayisha's belly is looking a bit babyful these days, she was quite a trooper walking all over NYC!

Oh! And be on the lookout for a blog posting from... don't fall over now... the one and only Joe Tyna. He had a special picture or two that he wanted to share sometime soon!
