Being behind on blogging is a general rule of thumb these days, so there's a lot to update since my last post on December 10th. The picture to the left is of Julia showing off one of her favorite new things to do - put socks on her hands! Out of nowhere, she will plop down and pull them off of her feet. They immediately go onto her hands, at which point she'll decide to do some tasks that would be impossible for most of us to accomplish with socks on our hands
(think: eating a snack, playing with blocks, etc). When I attempted to catch Jules in the act, she first threw her hands up in the air and then decided to strike this fabulous (belly-ful) pose ;)
Christmas
We spent Christmas with family in Cleveland and had a fun visit. Of course, our trip was too fast, but we squeezed in time with lots of people we love.

On Christmas Eve, we had a nice late lunch with Dan, Agi, Aunt Sue, and Ashley. Julia took a snooze while we ate and then joined us for present opening after her nap. We were really happy that she seemed very excited for all of the family time. Funny enough, it was clear that she couldn't care less about presents - even if they were really cool. In fact, I'm pretty sure she had more fun ripping off wrapping paper last Christmas. At least the holiday wasn't all about the presents for her!

After present opening, we headed over to see Donna's family and ate MORE food. Our holiday was definitely a tour de forks. YUM! At Aunt Jo's (Joe's great aunt) house, we had fabulous perogies (potato) and got to see lots of cousins. Of course, Julia received even more gifts, including lots of great clothes. We got to visit with Gram and Grampa Polivchak and really enjoyed our time with everyone. We ended the night with a late bedtime and hopes that "ho ho" (A.K.A. Santa) might come for a visit.

On Christmas morning, Julia woke up to find that Santa left her a Tickle Me Elmo doll. She also had a stocking full of raisins, rice crispy treats, and other goodies. Since Santa didn't wrap Elmo, she got the whole idea that Elmo was for her and totally jumped in to playing. We spent most of Christmas day just playing and visiting with family, including a trip to Aunt Kathy Kerrigan's house and MORE food and family time. Julia had a great time playing and coloring with her cousins!

We wrapped up our Cleveland visit with a trip to Donna and Mark's place... unfortunately, not the one in Florida! Julia has lots of people who love her, so the day was filled with more gifts and food. Are you picking up on the theme here? You'll understand why we're all feeling a bit "beefy" after the holiday! Overall, it was a good trip and a fun time celebrating our second Christmas together as a family. Hope you all had a nice holiday too, if you celebrate it!
