Months Seven and Eight

It's hard to believe that our baby boy is growing so quickly! Since I haven't kept up well with my posts, I wanted to share his 7 month and 8 month photos, along with a few milestones.

Seven months old

Our boy turned 7 months old in June. As you can see from the photo, he was sitting up quite nicely all on his own by then, so we didn't have much luck in laying him next to his mouse to see the comparison. Needless to say, this boy is doing well and growing like crazy! He kept getting sick in May and June and we finally discovered that he had a sinus infection that he just couldn't kick, hence the drippy nose in this picture. Thankfully, he's finally feeling better! Oh! And he also started saying "da, da, da" all the time.

He learned how to stand against the furniture just before his 8 month birthday!

Owen turned 8 months old on July 8th. It was his golden birthday... in months ;) This month, he has been exploding with new developments! Since then, he has started to get FOUR teeth (and Joe and I have the bags under our eyes to prove it). He also:

• learned how to move from laying on his belly to sitting  up independently;
• determined that walking around holding somebody's hands is way more fun than pretty much anything else in the world;
• started crawling; 
• decided to throw a "ma, ma, ma" into the mix every once in a while... though not specifically while looking at me. We're still working on it!
• managed, somehow, to get ringworm. How does that happen to a baby? It's not like he's wrestling competitively these days!

Needless to say, Owen is growing and growing. Jules is getting to be a really big girl. There's just no baby left in her... she's all girl now. I'm so sad! I'll share new photos and updates on her soon, along with other news from our busy summer!
