| Julia and Miss Sue on her last day at Little Kids on the Block |
Julia has truly gotten to be such a big girl! For the past three years, she has learned and grown at Little Kids on the Block Daycare with her teachers, Miss Sue, Miss Dee, and Miss Allegra. During that time, she has learned about so many wonderful things. As a 4 1/2 year old, she knows all of her shapes, colors, letters, numbers through 20 (almost!), and she can spell her name and tell us what letter most words start with. It seems that she is nearly ready for kindergarten a year early!
After three great years, we've decided that it's time for Julia to join a classroom that's focused on working with kids who are similarly a little too young for kindergarten, but ready for something more advanced, so she has started attending
Chesterbrook Academy in Wheaton. If all goes well, she'll continue on at Chesterbrook for kindergarten, too, as they have a full-day program, unlike our local school district, which will make it easier on all of us, so she won't be bused all over the place as a kindergartener.

| Jules on her first day at her new preschool |
During her first two days at Chesterbrook, Jules has done well. We're hoping that she keeps it up! So far, she has started to remember the names of 3 new kids - Will, Katherine, and Jacob - and she knows the "Good Morning Song" and all 5 of the rules for sitting on the rug during circle time. We're so proud of our big girl!
Thanks to the teachers at Little Kids on the Block and at Chesterbrook for all of the opportunities that our Julia has been offered!
