What a great Christmas we had this year! We started the holiday with a visit with Santa. He actually came to Julia's school, which was great because bad weather had kept us from visiting him at our usual favorite spot. Jules was happy to see him - though she told him something different than she had been telling our elf, Bambi, that she wanted. She requested an Ariel play set (whatever that is!) instead of the Tinkerbell and Periwinkle dolls she had already asked for. And Owen was terrified and wouldn't have a thing to do with the poor guy!
We stayed in Illinois this Christmas, so we spent Christmas Eve at my Mom and Randy's house. It was so nice that Roxy and her family were able to join us this year for the first time in many, many years. The kids had such a great time playing together!
On Christmas day, we woke to see presents from Santa and then opened presents from our family. Afterward, we went to visit Jen and Ben for breakfast with my Dad, Betty, and Barry. Afterward, we hung out at my Dad and Betty's house for the rest of the day, where we also Skyped with Justin and Stacey and got to see my Grandma Wilmarth.
As usual, our family was exceptionally generous and we were so appreciative of the gifts and the time with them. It was such a nice holiday!
