Indianapolis with Our Buddies

The lunch crew (sans our fabulous photographer) at Shapiro's
In February, we traveled to the Indianapolis area to meet Ayisha, Adam, Lila, and Isaac. It was so much fun!

We made the trip on Friday night so we could wake up on Saturday morning ready for fun. Of course, we had to hit the hotel pool before grabbing a delicious lunch at Shapiro's Deli, our favorite Indy place. Seriously, if you're in the area, go there and be sure to bring a big appetite and leave room for dessert.

The awesome dads swam with the kiddos while we moms caught up

Of course, nap time is a must for a few of us, so we took a rest break and let the bigger kids relax a bit, too. Later, we traveled to Trader's Point Creamery, an organic dairy farm in Zionsville, IN, about 20 minutes from our hotel. It was awesome! They have beautiful property along a creek and guests are welcome to walk around. You can visit the cows, watch them being milked, and try out their -amazing ice cream and yogurt treats. They also have an awesome-looking farm-to-table restaurant that was just a little too rich for our blood with four kids in tow. Maybe next time! It was definitely worth the trip.

Owen made a new friend!
The next day, we had to head home (after the obligatory morning swim). It was sad to part ways, but we really had such a great visit. Thank goodness for friends! :)
