Whew! We're back in Maryland and still trying to unpack and rest up from a whirlwind mid-western tour. We started off in Ohio for Christmas with Joe's family and had a great time. We spent the 23rd with Donna and her boyfriend, Mark, at his house and kicked off Christmas with nice food and a fun visit. Joe's Grandma Polivchak, or "Gram" as he calls her, was there and we also got to meet Mark's mom. It was a great way to kick off our extended tour :) Here's a nice shot of Donna and Joe that day.

On Christmas Eve day, we had a great dinner at Dan and Agi's house with Aunt Sue, and then headed over to Joe's Aunt Josie's house. She hosted about 20-25 people for dinner and gifts. We got to spend some time with Joe's Grandpa Polivchak that evening, which was great. Joe and I don't get to see him too often. He has been suffering from some leg and back pain lately and he filled us in on how that's going with the doctors. Hopefully he'll feel better soon!

After church, we headed back to the Dan and Agi's for some present opening. We were up until after 2 am and were SO tired the next day. Here's a cute shot of Ashley and Csaba (said: Chubba) earlier in the evening... before the 2 am sleepiness hit us all! It was safe to say that we all slept in pretty late the next day. Thankfully, more family didn't come over until the late afternoon, which left us plenty of time to relax on Christmas day. We spent the afternoon with about 20-25 of Joe's relatives and then relaxed a bit before hitting the sack.

During our last day in Cleveland, we headed to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens with Dan, Agi, and Ashley. They had this amazing gingerbread house competition that was really neat to explore. Some of the amateurs did better work than that professionals... although, I'm not sure what a professional gingerbread house maker survives on ;) It was a great way to end our Cleveland visit!
