Resurrecting Edward Murrow's 195o's radio program, NPR is recording essays from the famous and not-so-famous of our era. In 3-minute sound clips people distill their deepest beliefs and values.

Anyone can submit an essay and search all submissions - even those not chosen for broadcast. Einstein, Newt Gingrich, Leonard Bernstein and Studs Terkel are just a sample of those who submitted. . . there is even one essay about being kind to the "Pizza Dude".

This book has me writing my own and maybe it will inspire you!

If you'd like to read any of the submissions, they can be found at www.thisibelieve.org or you get get the book at the library.
