Welcome home :)

Woohoo! We bought a house :) We closed on Monday, May 5th and are now trying to figure out what this whole home owner thing is. Joe and I are both so excited!! The photo above is just following our closing, with our amazing Realtor, Karen. She even gave us a really thoughtful house warming gift, including a re-usable shopping bag and gift cards to Trader Joe and Whole Foods! Does she know us, or what?!

After our closing, we celebrated with a yummy dinner at Greek Islands, my favorite new restaurant. We had saganaki (flaming cheese) and toasted to our new home. This will probably be the last time we eat a meal out until 2038... so we thought we should go all out ;)

Once we finished dinner, we headed over to OUR new place. It was so exciting to open the door for the first time without anyone else there! We walked in the door and laid on the floor for awhile, just enjoying OUR carpet. It was great! Afterwards, we started unpacking my car, which has become a bit was of a mobile storage unit lately. I think I'll get better gas mileage without the 80 pounds of tile and supplies in the back!

We took quite a few pictures on Monday, which was lots of fun. Joe, the photographer, was a little camera happy, so bear that in mind when you check out all of our photos.
