| Dan and Agi outside of Wrigley |
The last few weeks have been quite fun-filled in the Wilmarth Tyna household. Last week, Joe's Dad and Agi came for a visit. It was great to see them both and nice to have them stay with us for the first time ever. It was Dan's birthday while they were here, so the four of us went into the City for a Cub's game! We had a very Chicago evening, with deep dish pizza and all. To top it all off, the Cubs won! It was especially fun that the owner of the Cubs, Tom Rickett, was wandering around by our seats while we were there.
Throughout the week, Dan and Agi spent lots of time with Julia. She clearly enjoyed her time with Nagymama and Papa Seahorse! They went to the Cosley Zoo (a small zoo here in Wheaton), the Brookfield Zoo, and the Kohl's Children Museum in the south suburbs. After they left last Sunday, Julia slept for about 3 hours she was so tired from all of their adventures.

Then, this weekend, we had more fun with grandparents! On Saturday morning, my Dad and Betty came in to hang out and make a visit to Brookfield Zoo. (Did I mention that we got a zoo membership this year? Hence all of the fabulous visits. It has been so much fun!) We searched and searched for the elephants... with no success, but had a lot of fun watching the giraffes, the wild dogs, and some entertaining geese and peacocks that were casing our table as we ate lunch. All-in-all, it was a great day with beautiful weather and a relatively well-behaved Julia.
Then, on Saturday night, we all had date night! That is, Joe and I got to go out and enjoy a date. Many of you know that we started participating in a marriage retreat program about a year ago and have continued to be involved on a monthly basis. My Mom and Randy came in to watch Julia (her dates for the evening) while we went to our gathering and then had dinner at a great restaurant in downtown Wheaton called
Il Sogno. They had live music and fabulous food. It was a great evening for us, and I think Nana, Papa, and Julia also enjoyed the park, dinner, and some bath time fun. What a fun couple of weeks!
Here are a few more photos from our adventures:

PS. Julia has become quite the little talker lately. She has been entertaining us with a variety of her comments. My favorite from today was when Joe accidentally dropped a bowl of popcorn (none spilled) and I was startled. Julia explained: "that was an accident mom. Accidents happen."
