It's hard to believe, but our baby Julia isn't much of a baby anymore. She's three! It was a pretty exciting countdown to the big day. Since Joe's birthday in October, Julia has been asking about when her birthday would happen. We had to give her some help in marking time, so we explained that first it would be Daddy's birthday in October, then Mommy's birthday in November, then Christmas in December, Aunt Jen's birthday would be January 13th, and THEN her birthday would happen on January 17th. Needless to say, it was a loooong countdown.
We celebrated her birthday with a gathering of family and friends. She's only three and didn't really need a big party, but it was a fabulous excuse to gather lots of folks that we like a lot - and don't get to see nearly enough - into the same room! Jules really enjoyed it... and do did Joe and I :) Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. And a special thanks to Ashley, who drove all the way from Cleveland to be there!
