Daddy Daughter Dance

Julia is in Girl Scouts again this year - she's a Brownie - and they host a Daddy Daughter dance every year. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to go last year, so this year was the first and it was a masquerade.

In advance of the dance, we had to have a little talk about not ignoring her dad just to spend time with her friends. Sadly, it didn't end up helping much. Dad reports indicate that he was abandoned immediately and mostly hung out with girls and dads, respectively ;)

Showing off her look, along with her mask

Aren't they lovely? :)
While Joe and Jules were out dancing, Owen and I got to hang out together at our favorite kid restaurant, 2 Toots Train Whistle Café, where they delivered his cupcake by train. It was a fun night! We're already looking forward to next year's dance.
