Julia's 8th Birthday

Julia had a great birthday in January. She had been asking to having a swim party for ages, so we reserved the pool at our YMCA and invited about 15 friends to join her. It was a fun (and wild - at least for the parents) event!

We started with an hour in the pool. The kids had such a fun time - especially since it was the warm pool. Lucky kids!

After swimming, we headed to a party room for pizza, brownie cupcakes, present-opening, and more fun. The experience reminded me of why we only have birthday parties once a year... phew! We were exhausted. Jules had a great time, we didn't lose any kids, and she is officially 8 now.

Presenting opening requires a lot of help ;)

Bumblebee was on hand to supervise!

On her actual birthday, January 17th, we celebrated with Julia's favorite, mint chocolate chip ice cream pie. She enjoyed it wearing the new bathrobe that she got from us. Overall, it was a great birthday celebration for our girl!
