Shower in Ohio

This weekend Joe and I headed to Ohio for a second shower with his family, care of four of his fabulous aunts (see right). Although we both came home totally exhausted, we had a great trip!

On Thursday night, we hit the road and didn't get in until Friday at 1:00 am. Ugh! Despite the late arrival, we were both glad to get there and sleep a bit before we picked up my mom on Friday morning from the airport. We spent most of that day doing some wedding shopping and then my mom and I met Ayisha, Jaime, Patty, and Julie for dinner at the Cleveland Grill. We had such a fun time seeing everyone!

While we were having dinner, Joe caught up with the groomsmen. They got fitted for their tuxedos, grabbed dinner at the Brew Kettle, and then headed over to Brendan's for a fire. Of course, I don't know too much about what happened that night... but Joe wasn't feeling too well on Saturday! Unfortunately, that was also the day of our shower, which put a little bit of a damper on his fun. He was a little green in the face, but eventually he found some ginger ale, which made him feel a lot better.

One of the best parts of the weekend was getting to spend some time with my mom and my friend, Ayisha (a bridesmaid). These days, Ayisha is getting geared up for babyland. Check out how cute she looks!! She and Roy (the baby's nickname) made the trip up all the way from North Carolina to share in the fun day. She and my mom got the award for the longest traveling distance for the shower! Thanks for coming, ladies :)
